MOMから自分のEPステータスを確認できるアプリがリリース

3月20日以降に発行されるEPなどのビザカードにQRコードがつき、アプリで各種管理できるようになるとのこと。
雇用主側のではなく従業員側のアプリのようなので、現状だと特段の利便性の向上は思い当りません。
現状だと、ラウザで確認しなくてもアプリで確認できる程度かもしれませんが、EP更新の審査結果にハラハラしてる方や、お引っ越された時に住所アップデートがアプリでできるですとか、そういったところは考えられます。あとはオフィスのビルのセキュリティ登録が3秒ほど短縮される可能性があるぐらいでしょうか。。
自動決済とQRコードがリンクすると、EPカードで決済とかできるようになるかもですね。
スマートシティに向けて、世界に先駆けて（もう中国に先を越されているという気もしますが巻き返しという意味で）IT投資を進めて欲しいですね。
個人的には早くキャッシュレス社会を実現して欲しいです。
MOM has earlier introduced a new Work Pass (WP) card with a Quick Response (QR) code for Work Permit holders. We also launched a free mobile application, known as SGWorkPass, that allows you to check the status, expiry date and other pass details using your mobile device. The SGWorkPass can be downloaded from Google Play or Apple App Store.
You will receive the new QR code cards when you issue your Work Pass / Long Term Pass (LTP) for the following groups of pass holders from 20 March 2018:
– Employment Pass holders
– S Pass holders
– Dependants of EP / S Pass holders
– Foreign Domestic Workers
All existing WP / LTP cards will remain valid and pass holders will receive their new cards when they renew their passes. Employers or employment agencies will be informed of the change when they apply to issue or renew the pass.
